Isy Goldwasser

Isy Goldwasser was named Chief Executive Officer of Symyx Technologies, Inc. in 2007 and has served as President of Symyx since 1998. He became the first employee of Symyx Technologies in 1995 as Vice President, Corporate Development. Mr. Goldwasser is a named inventor on 28 U.S., European, German and Canadian patents. Mr. Goldwasser received his B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University.

Rex S. Jackson

Rex Jackson joined Symyx in 2007, after serving as General Counsel and in other senior management positions with several technology companies, including most recently Avago Technologies Limited and Synopsys Inc. At Synopsys, Mr. Jackson served as General Counsel in 2003-2006 and as interim chief financial officer in 2005-2006. He has a B.A. in political science from Duke University and a J.D. from Stanford University Law School.

Dr. Weinberg joined Symyx in 1996 with the mandate to create the technology. He had spent the first 24 years of his career on the faculty of the California Institute of Technology and the University of California, Santa Barbara. Dr. Weinberg obtained a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from the University of South Carolina, and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

Trevor Heritage, Ph.D.

Trevor Heritage joined Symyx in 2007 when Symyx acquired MDL information Systems, where he was serving as senior vice president of software product management and strategy. Previously, Dr. Heritage was senior vice president, corporate officer and general manager of Tripos Inc.'s discovery informatics and software consulting services business. He brings over 18 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals and chemicals research, informatics and enterprise software. He has a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Reading, England, and he began his career with Shell Research Ltd in the UK.

Gerard Abraham

Gerard Abraham joined Symyx in 2007, assuming leadership for the global Symyx Tools organization. He served most recently in several senior positions in the U.S. and overseas at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., including as president of its process systems and process instruments divisions. Previously, he was with HP and Matra-Harris. Mr. Abraham brings significant experience developing and scaling instrument businesses in global markets. He has a B.A. from the University of Paris, France.

Richard Boehner

Richard Boehner joined Symyx in 2007 to lead the company's business development efforts in the chemicals and energy industries. Previously, Mr. Boehner served in corporate development and strategic planning roles at Sun Chemical Corporation, MacDermid Incorporated, Great Lakes Chemical and Allied Signal. Mr. Boehner has a B.S. and an M.B.A. from Colorado State University.
